Set Up Your Rack for Bench Press

If it’s your a gym newbie trying to make sense of the bench press, no sweat. Good on you for not being intimidated by the barbell.

Let’s talk through the setting up the rack:

  • Remove the barbell so you can adjust the safety catches
  • Place the barbell back on the rack
  • Make sure the bench is situated center and squared up underneath
  • Test the safety catch before you start working out
